[origin: EP0389438A1] The snow guard is formed from two parts, a suspending part (80) and a fastening part (81). The suspending part (80) contains a projection (82) which engages under a drip nose (4) of an upper roof tile (2). A projecting leg (85), which forms the snow-retaining part (84), is arranged on the suspending part (80) on the side opposite the projection (82). The fastening part (80) is displaceable on this leg. Said fastening part contains a slide (86) which can be locked to the leg (85) via a catch mechanism (88, 89). In addition, the slide (86) contains a pressure part (90) which, in the assembled condition of the snow guard, bears on the roof tile (2) and holds the latter clamped between the pressure part (90) and the suspending part (80). This ensures secure fastening of the snow guard to the roof tile (79). <IMAGE>
