[origin: WO9004066A2] A cloth-like nonwoven material useful for wiping and having strength, toughness, abrasion resistance and resistance to certain solvents and/or chemicals is made from mixtures of wood pulp and staple fibers randomly distributed and hydraulically entangled with each other to form a coherent entangled fibrous structure having a thickness index of at least about 0.008 and a ratio of machine direction strength to cross machine direction strength of at least about 1.5.

Une matière non tissée analogue à du tissu, utile pour essuyer et présentant une solidité et une résistance entre autre à l'abrasion ainsi qu'à certains solvants et/ou produits chimiques, se compose de mélanges de pâte de bois et de fibres coupées réparties de manière aléatoire et emmêlées hydrauliquement les unes avec les autres pour former une structure fibreuse emmêlée ayant un indice d'épaisseur d'au moins environ 0,008 et un rapport entre la solidité dans le sens de la machine et la solidité dans le sens transversal de la machine d'au moins 1,5 environ.
