In catalytic heating panels for the combustion of a burnable gas with oxygen or air and with separate supply for the burnable gas and the oxygen, there is the problem that the combustion, both in the combustion of hydrocarbons and in the combustion of hydrogen, is incomplete and small burnable-gas residues remain in the waste gas. To ensure complete combustion of the burnable gas, it is envisaged that the burnable gas flows, separately from the oxygen, through a diffusion layer (12) in a catalytically active layer (10) arranged on the opposite side of the diffusion layer and that the catalytic activity of the catalytically active layer is greater on the side facing away from the diffusion layer (12) than on the side facing towards the diffusion layer. <IMAGE>
Abstract (de)
Bei katalytischen Flächenheizkörpern für die Verbrennung eines Brenngases mit Sauerstoff bzw. Luft und mit separater Zuführung für das Brenngas und dem Sauerstoff besteht das Problem, daß die Verbrennung sowohl bei der Verbrennung von Kohlenwasserstoffen als auch von bei der Verbrennung von Wasserstoff unvollständig ist und geringe Brenngasreste im Abgas verbleiben. Zur Gewährleistung einer vollständigen Verbrennung des Brenngases wird vorgesehen, daß das Brenngas getrennt vom Sauerstoff durch eine Diffusionsschicht (12) hindurch in einer auf der gegenüberliegenden Seite der Diffusionsschicht angeordneten katalytisch aktiven Schicht (10) strömt und daß die katalytische Aktivität der katalytischen aktiven Schicht auf der der Diffusionsschicht (12) abgewandten Seite höher ist als auf der der Diffusionsschicht zugewandten Seite.
