Abstract (en)

[origin: EP0389867A2] In order, in a tank wagon whose tank (1) is supported with respect to the supporting structure (3) at both ends in end saddles (2a), (2b) of the supporting structure (3) arranged transversally with respect to the longitudinal direction of the tank wagon, to reduce the loads at the connecting point between the tank (1) and supporting structure (3), in particular during the effect of buffer impacts on the supporting structure (3) and to reduce the buffer forces, the container (1) is held at both cheek ends A, B so as to be freely longitudinally displaceable in each case with respect to the assigned wagon end A and B respectively and is supported in the direction of the transverse centre plane of the tank wagon at its ends A, B against supporting structure-side support points (5a) and (5b) respectively by means of tank-side stop pieces (4a) and (4b) respectively. For the further dissipation of energy, an energy dissipation device (7a) and (7b) respectively, acting in the direction towards the transverse centre plane of the tank wagon, can be arranged (Fig. 5) in each case between the stop element (4a) and the associated support point (5a) as well as between the stop element (4b) and the support point (5b). <IMAGE>
