The invention relates to a transformer having a core (1) on which a primary winding (6) and a secondary winding (7) are fitted. On the core (1) there is an insulating coating (5) which is produced by dusting the core (1) with a powder, by melting this powder under the influence of heat and by subsequent curing. Die Erfindung betrifft einen Transformator mit einem Kern (1), auf dem eine Primärwicklung (6) und eine Sekundärwicklung (7) aufgebracht sind. Auf dem Kern (1) befindet sich eine isolierende Beschichtung (5), die durch eine Bestäubung des Kernes (1) mit einem Pulver, durch Schmelzen dieses Pulvers durch Hitzeeinwirkung und durch nachfolgendes Aushärten hergestellt ist. Die Primärwicklung (6) und die Sekundärwicklung (7) befinden sich auf der isolierenden Beschichtung (5).
