The shaft (8) is arranged on levers (7) which can be swivelled about the axle (2) of the paddle-wheel (1). The cam plates (9) catch the printing products (6), entering the paddle-wheel (1), at their trailing end (26) and decelerate them. <??>The adjustment of the cam plates (9) to printing products (6) of different lengths is effected by swivelling the levers (7). <??>The drive of the shaft (8) is effected by a drive element (17) which is mounted on a swivel lever (13), which can be swivelled about the shaft (8), and is guided by longitudinal guides (18) in the radial direction relative to the paddle-wheel (1). By this means, the position of the cam plates (9) is optimum for any adjustment in relation to the different lengths of the printing products (6). <IMAGE>
