[origin: US4980962A] An apparatus for applying by crimping terminals, which are provided in an elongated terminals strip, to electrical conductors, comprises a tool body and two jaw means which carry co-operating crimping dies, and of which at least one jaw means is movable relative to the body. To the tool body is an elongated carrier arm pivoted which projects beyond the jaw means, and to the free end of the carrier arm is a supply board pivoted which extends rearwardly toward the jaw means and carries a manually operated feeder device with a transport roller for the terminals strip. Between the feeder device and the jaw means is a cutting station for the terminals strip located which comprises at least one pair of co-operating cutting edges and is drivable by the closing movement of one of the jaw means.

Ein Gerät (10) zum Anbringen von Kontakten, die in einem Band zugeführt werden, an elektrische Leiter, umfasst einen Gerätekörper (20) und zwei Backen (11, 12) von denen zumindest eine beweglich ist, und die beide je einen Press-Stempel (11a, 11b) tragen. An den Gerätekörper (20) ist ein länglicher Tragarm (13) angelenkt, der die Backen (11, 12) überragt. An das freie Ende des Tragarmes (13) ist ein zurück sich erstreckender Zuführtisch (23) angelenkt, der eine manuell antreibbare Vorschubeinheit (24) mit einer Transportrolle (24a) für die Bandware trägt. Zwischen der Vorschubeinheit (24) und den beiden Backen (11, 12) ist eine von der Schliessbewegung der einen Backe (12) angetriebene Schneidstation mit Messerorganen (25a, 25b) angeordnet.
