[origin: WO9002409A1] A switch with contacts wetted with mercury has a contact support to which switch contact tongues are fastened via a leaf spring. In addition to ordinary capillary grooves, the switch contact tongue has a porous structure, so that the tongue can absorb a predetermined quantity of mercury and store it permanently under the action of the forces of capillarity.

Le commutateur décrit comporte un support de contact auquel des languettes de contact de commutation sont fixées au moyen d'un ressort à lames. Outre les rainures capillaires habituelles, la languette de contact de commutation présente une structure poreuse, de sorte que ladite languette peut absorber une quantité prédéterminée de mercure et la stocker en permanence par capillarité.
