[origin: EP0391052A2] A casting machine for casting preliminary profiles for section rolling comprises a cooled mould 2 and a strand guide 3 arranged downstream of the latter. <??>To improve economy in the production of sectional steel, extension surfaces 4b, 5b of the mould 2 are inclined at an angle of 20 to 45 DEG to the plane of the web surfaces, strand-guiding rollers 11, 12, 13 are arranged downstream of the web surfaces 4a, 5a, extension surfaces 4b, 5b and adjusting surfaces 4c, 5c, and guide elements 15 and 18, respectively, adjustable in the same direction are arranged downstream of adjustable end walls 1c, 1f provided with a projection 7a projecting into the moulding space. <IMAGE>
