Abstract (en)

[origin: EP0391079A2] 2.1. The supply of packaging material to a packaging machine is particularly difficult in the processing of cardboard blanks. If the material web fed in the packing machine is formed by blanks held together by residual connections, then the supply is made easier. <??>2.2. A particularly favourable storing of interconnected blanks (11) is made possible if the material web (19) so formed is arranged in zig-zag fashion by opposite folding and the blanks are stacked thus. The stacks (15) formed can be held in stock in a space-saving manner and be passed to a removal station, in which the material web (19) is drawn off from the stacks (15) and brought back to the extended position. <??>2.3. It is advantageous for a plurality of stacks (15) to be connected to one another so as to form a continuous material web (19), this connection being made via upright web portions (23) from one stack to another. <IMAGE>
