[origin: EP0391820A1] An operating device for a roller blind (1) whose apron (2) moves with a slight inclination and comprising a shaft (3) for rolling and/or unrolling the apron (2) formed from fine slats (4, 5, 6) provided at each of their lateral ends (23, 24, 25) with gripping means formed by openings (26, 27, 28) produced in the said lateral ends (23, 24, 25) and provided with strengthening pieces constituted by an insert (29, 30, 31) laterally inserted into the edge of the fine slats (4, 5, 6) and also having an opening (32, 33, 34) situated in alignment with the openings (26, 27, 28) of the fine slats (4, 5, 6), these gripping means cooperating with cam wheels (40) having a neutral travel between each tooth (38, 39) and placed at each of the lateral ends (41) of a second drive shaft (42) disposed in the forward direction with respect to the rolling and/or unrolling shaft (3), these shafts (3), (42) being held by the lateral flanges (43) of a caisson (44) on which guidance rails (45) end, in which rails slide the lateral ends (23, 24, 25) of the fine slats (4, 5, 6) whose insert (29, 30, 31) comprises near its edge (36) facing the heel (15) of the fine slat (4, 5, 6) means (46) of engagement in the channel (16) of the said fine slat (4, 5, 6) and preventing displacement of the fine slats (4, 5, 6) with respect to their longitudinal axis (47). <IMAGE>
