Abstract (en)
The device serves for cutting plates of soft material such as foamed plastic plates or plates of glass wool. Foamed plastic plates are cut with a heated cutting wire. The device consists of two separate parts A and B. Part A comprises a base plate (1) with lateral guides (2) for a clamping cutting bar (3). Electrically conductive guide strips (5), which are insulated from the guides (2), are attached to the front of the guides (2). The guide strips are connected to a current source (not shown). Part B is a frame in the manner of a web saw, between the arms (8) of which the cutting wire (6) is attached. When the frame with its arms is pressed against the guide strips (5), current flows through the wire (6) and cutting can be performed. Soft plates of glass wool are cut with a knife (not shown) which is guided along the clamping cutting bar (3). <IMAGE>
Abstract (de)
Die Vorrichtung dient zum Schneiden von Platten aus weichem Material wie Kunststoffschaumplatten oder Platten aus Glaswolle. Kunststoffschaumplatten werden mit einem erhitzten Schneiddraht geschnitten. Die Vorrichtung besteht aus zwei separaten Teilen A und B. Teil A umfasst eine Grundplatte (1) mit seitlichen Führungen (2) für ein Anpress-Schneidlineal (3). Vorne an den Führungen (2) sind elektrisch leitende Führungsleisten (5) angebracht, die von den Führungen (2) isoliert sind. Die Führungsleisten sind an eine nicht dargestellte Stromquelle angeschlossen. Teil B ist ein spannsägeartiger Bügel zwischen dessen Armen (8) der Schneiddraht (6) angebracht ist. Wird der Bügel mit seinen Armen an die Führungsleisten (5) gedrückt, fliesst Strom durch den Draht (6) und es kann geschnitten werden. Weiche Platten aus Glaswolle werden mit einem nicht dargestellten Messer geschnitten, das am Anpress-Schneidlineal (3) entlanggeführt wird.
