[origin: EP0391856A2] The hammer has two handles (11, 12) projecting transversely from the housing (1). Said handles are attached to the free ends of a leaf spring (10) bent in a Z-shape. The bends (13, 14) of the spring (10) wind round rollers (15, 16), fixed to the housing, with play. A pusher (22) is pivotably mounted on one handle (11). It has a connecting link (27), the centre of curvature of which coincides approximately with the centre of pivoting (26) of the associated handle (11) when the pusher (22) is actuated. The connecting link (27) actuates, via transmission members (31, 32), a valve pin (5) of the hammer. As a result of this design, the handles (11, 12) can be effectively protected not only from the base frequencies, but also higher-frequency vibrations of the hammer. Even when pulling the hammer, this design is at least partly effective. <IMAGE>
