[origin: EP0392034A1] The invention relates to a liquid ring pump with a liquid separator which is integrated in the side cover and which has a deflector wall (12) dividing the chamber in the side cover into two chambers, on which pump the pressure slit (6b) provided in the disc cam (7) opens out into one chamber (13), and a gas outlet (23; 25) and at least one liquid outlet (24, 24') are arranged in the area of the other chamber (14) on the side cover. An improved liquid separation with little flow loss is achieved in that the deflector wall (12) is designed with an arched shape and extends through an angle of at least 180 DEG , this wall bearing on the disc cam (7) with the side edge (16) of its one side (15) extending axially in the direction of the gas-liquid flow emerging from the pressure slit (6b). <IMAGE>
