For the quicker heating of the burner plate of a hob with a glass ceramic cooking surface and a radiant gas burner, the radiant gas burner is operated with an increased gas quantity during the heating phase. At the latest on reaching the operating temperature in full- load setting, the gas quantity is throttled to the normal size. The throttling moment can either be stipulated via a timer or the temperature of the burner plate can be determined and the gas quantity throttled at a predetermined temperature.

Zum schnelleren Aufheizen der Brennerplatte einer Kocheinrichtung mit Glaskeramikkochfläche und Gasstrahlungsbrenner wird der Gasstrahlungsbrenner während der Aufheizphase mit einer erhöhten Gasmenge betrieben. Spätestens bei Erreichen der Betriebstemperatur in Vollaststellung wird die Gasmenge auf das Normalmaß gedrosselt. Der Zeitpunkt der Drosselung kann entweder über eine Zeitsteuerung vorgegeben werden oder es wird die Temperatur der Brennerplatte ermittelt und bei einer vorgegebenen Temperatur wird die Gasmenge gedrosselt.
