A control device (Fig.1) for diesel internal combustion engines is disclosed, by means of which it is possible to rapidly shut down the internal combustion engine by completely draining the intake chamber of the injection pump. The control device essentially comprises a switching element 34 which is movably arranged inside a feed pump 10 and which can be operated from outside the feed pump (10) by an actuator 62. The valve springs (50, 80) of the intake valve (25) and of the pressure valve (28) are thereby disengaged and auxiliary valve springs (52, 82) engaged, making it possible to reverse the function of the feed pump (10). Owing to its compact construction, the control device is particularly suitable for cramped installation conditions on the internal combustion engine and permits low-maintenance operation of the fuel injection system. <IMAGE>

Es wird eine Steuereinrichtung (Figur 1) für Dieselbrennkraftmaschinen aufgezeigt, mit der ein schnelles Stillsetzen der Brennkraftmaschine durch Leersaugen des Saugraums der Einspritzpumpe möglich ist. Die Steuereinrichtung umfaßt im wesentlichen ein Schaltelement 34, das innerhalb einer Förderpumpe 10 beweglich angeordnet und das von außerhalb der Förderpumpe 10 durch ein Stellglied 62 betätigbar ist. Damit werden die Ventilfedern (50, 80) des Saugventils (25) und des Druckventils (28) aus- und Zusatzventilfedern (52, 82) eingeschaltet, und es ist eine Funktionsumkehr der Förderpumpe (10) erreichbar. Die Steuereinrichtung eignet sich durch ihre kompakte Ausführung insbesondere bei beengten Anbauverhältnissen an der Brennkraftmaschine und ermöglicht einen wartungsarmen Betrieb des Kraftstoffeinspritzsystems.
