[origin: EP0392217A1] An elongated light fixture with a housing (11) and a cover (12) has on each of the longitudinal sides two slider elements (37, 38), which are pressed onto one another by means of a spring (60). The slider elements (37, 38) have slot-like cutouts (48, 49) on their longitudinal side facing the cover (12); the slider elements are pressed onto one another by means of the spring and in the process grip the rear of pins (46, 47), which are integrally formed in the shape of a wedge on the cover, by means of chamfers (50, 52) provided in the cutouts (48, 49). In order to release the lock, elliptical discs (34, 35) are rotated by means of a rotary shaft (31), so that the slider elements are pressed away from one another on each side against the tension of the spring, and the cover (12) can thus be removed from the housing (11). <IMAGE>
