[origin: EP0392255A2] What is described is a textile machine with at least one drawing unit, the driving cylinders 60, 66, 68 of which can be driven at least partially by means of separate speed-controlled drive motors 20 - 26; 30 - 36. The drive motors are connectable to the driving cylinders via friction clutches 62; 62' jointly shiftable by means of an electronic control 40. Each clutch 62; 62' is arranged in the respective drive train between two gears 72, 58; 72' 70. The transmission ratios of the gears 58; 70 on the same side as the cylinders are selected in such a way that identical reduced torques are obtained for the various clutches. After the reduction to a minimum speed, at least the drawing units 20', 30' can be uncoupled from the associated drive.
