A roof machine for electrostatically coating with paint (lacquer) the front, roof and rear areas of motor vehicle bodies transported on a conveyor belt is provided, in which a roof beam extending over the conveyor belt and equipped with atomisers is mounted at both ends in two vertical columns of which one contains the drive elements for the roof beam and the atomisers and of which the other contains the paint supply for the atomisers. The bearing of the roof beam in the vertical columns is in this case designed in such a way that the roof beam can be moved up and down and rotated about its longitudinal axis whilst the atomisers can be moved backwards and forwards together and tilted and individually adjusted with respect to their lateral spacing from one another. The housing cover of the roof beam constitutes a cylinder. <IMAGE>

Es wird eine Dachmaschine zum elektrostatischen Beschichten der Bug-, Dach- und Heckflächen von auf einem Förderband transportierten Automobilkarossen mit Farbe (Lack) geschaffen, bei welcher ein sich horizontal quer über das Förderband erstreckender, mit Zerstäubern (15-17) ausgerüsteter Dachbalken (10) beidends in zwei Vertikalsäulen (11,12) gelagert ist, deren eine die Antriebselemente für den Dachbalken (10) und die Zerstäuber (15-17) und deren andere die Farbversorgung für die Zerstäuber enthält. Die Lagerung des Dachbalkens (10) in den Vertikalsäulen (11,12) ist dabei so gestaltet, daß der Dachbalken (10) auf-und abbewegbar sowie um seine Längsachse drehbar ist, während die Zerstäuber gemeinsam hin- und herbewegbar sowie kippbar und bezüglich ihrer seitlichen Abstände untereinander einzeln verstellbar sind. Der Gehäusemantel des Dachbalkens stellt einen Zylinder dar.
