Die Erfindung bezieht sich auf eine Greifvorrichtung 8 für eine Vorgarnhülse an einer Vorspinnmaschine, mit in einem Gehäuse 15 angeordneten, die Hülse erfassenden, angetriebenen Greifelementen 18, wobei innerhalb des Gehäuses 15 ein mit den Greifelementen 18 zusammenwirkendes Antriebselement 17 drehbar geführt ist. Erfindungsgemäß sind zwischen dem federbeaufschlagten Greifelement 18 und dem begrenzt drehbaren Antriebselement 17 mindestens zwei zusammenwirkende, quer zur Längsachse der Greifvorrichtung 8 gelagerte Kurvenelemente 19, 22 angeordnet.
