Abstract (en)
The setting for a precious stone (10) in a holding element (11) or piece of jewellery consists of a borehole (12) in said holding part and an elastic holding member (14) which is clamped fixedly below the greatest cross-section of the precious stone in an indentation (13), for example an annular groove in the wall of the blind borehole (12). Due to the elastic spring effect of the holding member (14), for example of a platinum/iridium ring, a force is produced which is directed onto the precious stone (10) towards a resting region of the borehole and which guarantees a secure press-fit of the precious stone in the borehole. In such an embodiment, no fastening elements or indentations at all are required on the precious stone (10). In particular in the case of transparent holding elements (11), for example a watch glass, simple precious stone settings can be achieved by this means, which can further enhance the aesthetic effect of the precious stone by a corresponding design of the resting region as bottom (12B) of a blind borehole (12), for example a convex or concave design. <IMAGE>
Abstract (de)
Eine Fassung für einen Edelstein (10) in einem Haltekörper (11) oder Schmuckteil besteht aus einer Bohrung (12) in diesem Halteteil und einem elastischen Halteglied (14), das unterhalb des größten Querschnittes des Edelsteins in einer Vertiefung (13) beispielsweise einer Ringnut der Wandung der Sackbohrung (12) festgeklemmt ist. Durch die elastische Federwirkung des Haltegliedes (14), beispielsweise eines Platin-Iridium-Ringes wird eine zu einem Auflagebereich der Bohrung hin auf den Edelstein (10) gerichtete Kraft erzeugt, die einen sicheren Preßsitz des Edelsteins in der Bohrung gewährleistet. Bei einer solchen Ausführung sind keinerlei Halterungselemente oder Vertiefungen am Edelstein (10) erforderlich, insbesondere bei durchsichtigen Haltekörpern (11), beispielsweise einem Uhrglas, lassen sich hierdurch einfache Edelsteinfassungen erzielen, die durch eine entsprechende Gestaltung des Auflagebereichs als Boden (12B) einer Sackbohrung (12), beispielsweise konvex oder konkav, die ästhetische Wirkung des Edelsteins noch verstärken können.
