Abstract (en)
An installation for the combustion of combustible waste gases is described. This installation has inter alia an apparatus for the combustion of these waste gases and a flashback arrester. The apparatus according to the invention has a burner head 1 with a connection 2 for the supply of combustible waste gases, in particular ethylene oxide, a gas mixing nozzle 3 with turbulent effect, at least one opening 20 for admission of secondary air, and an ignition electrode 4 and a flame pipe 5 which can be screwed onto said burner head 1 and has outlet openings 6 for the combustion products and for flame guidance. The flashback arrester according to the invention has a hollow cylinder 32 filled with at least one filler 31, which allows a gas flow to flow through essentially unhindered, an upper flange 33 and a lower flange 34, said flanges having frustoconical recesses 35 directed towards one another and central bores 36, hollowings 37 for sealing rings 38, which come to lie between said hollow cylinder 32 and said flanges 33 and 34, as well as bores 39 with or without a thread, through which fastening screws 40 are guided, which hold the hollow cylinder 32 and the flanges 33 and 34 together. <IMAGE>

Es wird eine Anlage für die Verbrennung von brennbaren Abgasen beschrieben. Diese Anlage weist u.a. eine Vorrichtung für die Verbrennung dieser Abgase und eine Flammenrückschlagsicherung auf. Die erfindungsgemässe Vorrichtung weist einen Brennerkopf 1 mit einem Anschluss 2 für die Zufuhr brennbarer Abgase, insbesondere Ethylenoxyd, eine Gasmischdüse 3 mit Drallwirkung, wenigstens eine Öffnung 20 für Sekundärlufteinlass, sowie eine Zündelektrode 4 und ein auf den genannten Brennerkopf 1 aufschraubbares Flammenrohr 5 mit Austrittsöffnungen 6 für die Verbrennungsprodukte und für die Flammenführung auf. Die erfindungsgemässe Flammenrückschlagsicherung weist einen mit wenigstens einem Füllkörper 31, welcher einen Gasstrom mehr oder weniger ungehindert durchfliessen lässt, gefüllten Hohlzylinder 32, einen oberen Flansch 33 und einen unteren Flansch 34, wobei die genannten Flansche zueinander gerichtete, kegelstumpfförmige Ausnehmungen 35 und zentrale Bohrungen 36, Ausdrehungen 37 für Dichtungsringe 38, welche zwischen dem genannten Hohlzylinder 32 und den genannten Flanschen 33 und 34 zu liegen kommen, sowie Bohrungen 39 mit oder ohne Gewinde, durch welche Befestigungsschrauben 40 geführt sind, welche den Hohlzylinder 32 zwischen den Flanschen 33 und 34 zusammenhalten, auf.
