[origin: EP0392476A2] The processibility of polymer fibres, in particular aramid fibres, was to be improved. This became possible by using solutions or dispersions of resins in an organic solvent containing - 0.2 - 20% by weight of at least one polyamide resin based on long- chain branched dicarboxylic acids which has terminal carboxylic and/or amino groups, - 0.02 - 10% by weight of a compatible copolymer which contains carboxylic acid and/or anhydride groups and also carboxylic esters,, - 0 - 5% by weight of further auxiliaries and also - ad 100% by weight of organic solvent for the surface treatment of polymer fibres.
