[origin: EP0393210A1] An adjustable dowel anchor for the concealed installation of facade elements, comprising a bracket and an adjusting part intended for receiving a carrying pin, is developed. In order that the dowel anchor can be adjusted even with suspended facade elements and is suitable even for heavier facade panels, the bracket 1 is formed from two substantially parallel, approximately L-shaped pieces in such a way that, in the upper end, an opening 3 for a carrying dowel 4 is provided and, in the lower end, a receptacle 5, open towards the front, for the adjusting part 2 exists, and the adjusting part 2 is, in the region of the bracket 1, an upended flat steel bar. According to a further proposal, elongated holes 9 and bolts, screws 10, 11 or the like cooperating therewith are provided on the adjusting part 2 and the bracket 1 at a distance from one another. Particularly reliable, to some extent also automatic, locking can be obtained by means of ratcheting, toothing 12 or the like, an adjusting screw 15, further elongated holes 19 in conjunction with a screw bolt 20 or the like, and also an adjusting plate 21 with an elongated hole 19. <IMAGE>
