Abstract (en)
The invention relates to a circuit breaker with very rapid opening should a fault appear actuating the means (11, 27, 29) of unlocking a locking lever (25), without the true opening of the contacts being dependent upon a contact withdrawal time. This result is achieved by using a single spring (23) to separate the contacts (4, 5) during an opening of the circuit breaker, and to ensure, in the closed state, contact pressure. This spring (23) is fixed, on the one hand, to a pivoting support (14) of the moving contact (4) and to a pivoting platen (32) which, in the closed position of the circuit breaker, exerts a longitudinal bearing force on one end of a connecting rod (19) whose other end bears against a bearing surface (23) of the pivoting support. During automatic opening of the circuit breaker, the bearing of the connecting rod against the pivoting support (14) is broken and the force of the spring (23) immediately ensures the opening of the contacts. <IMAGE>
