Closing apparatus for a ventilation duct or the like. It has at least one closing member which can be adjusted by means of an electrically operable adjusting device. The adjusting device has an electrically heatable wire made of a memory-alloy. This wire is a straight wire, which always remains straight and can, by shortening of its length, adjust the at least one closing member out of one of its limit positions into its other limit position, the wire constantly being kept so strongly tensioned by the return spring that, on return from a shorter end shape into the longer end shape, it assumes its original length again. <IMAGE>

Verschlußeinrichtung (10) für einen Lüftungskanal oder dgl. Sie weist mindestens ein mittels einer elektrisch betätigbaren Stellvorrichtung (21) verstellbares Verschlußorgan (13) auf. Die Stellvorrichtung weist einen elektrisch erwärmbaren Draht (33) aus einer Memory-Legierung auf. Dieser Draht ist ein gerader Draht, der stets gerade bleibt und durch Verkürzung seiner Länge das mindestens eine Verschlußorgan aus seiner einen Grenzstellung in seine andere Grenzstellung verstellen kann, wobei der Draht durch die Rückstellfeder (35) ständig so stark gespannt gehalten ist, daß er bei Rückkehr aus einer kürzeren Endgestalt in die längere Endgestalt wieder seine ursprüngliche Länge annimmt.
