[origin: WO8906100A1] A chair, in particular a work or office chair, has a back-rest rod whose inclination to the seat can be adjusted, and a back-rest which slides on the back-rest rod and can be moved in the direction of the seat by means of an adjustment device when the back-rest rod tilts backwards. A simple adjustment device according to the invention, suitable for a wide range of chairs, has a single knee lever (20) which is pivotally mounted on a bracket (2) supporting the seat or on a seat support (33) on the bracket (2), said seat support being variable in inclination and said knee lever swivelling about a horizontal swivelling axis (19). An extension (17) of the back-rest (35) is hingedly connected to the end of the lever arm (28) of the knee lever (20), and the end of the other lever arm (29) of the knee lever (20) can pivot by means of a driving bolt (25) or similar of the back-rest rod (6) and/or the seat support (33) in such a way that when the back-rest rod (6) tilts backward and/or the seat support is lowered, one lever arm (28) of the knee lever (20) adjusts the extension (17) and hence the back-rest (35) in the direction of the bracket (2) or the seat suport (33).

Une chaise, notamment une chaise de travail ou de bureau, possède une barre de dossier dont l'inclinaison par rapport au siège peut être réglée, ainsi qu'un dossier qui coulisse sur sa barre et qui peut coulisser en direction du siège au moyen d'un dispositif de réglage lorsque la barre de dossier est inclinée vers l'arrière. Un dispositif de réglage simple convenant aux types de chaises les plus divers comprend un seul levier à genouillère (20) qui est monté pivotant autour d'un axe de pivotement horizontal (19), sur un support (2) portant le siège ou bien sur un support de siège (33) monté sur le support (2) et présentant une inclinaison variable. Une rallonge (17) du dossier (35) est reliée de manière articulée à l'extrémité d'un bras de levier (28) de la genouillère (20), et l'extrémité de l'autre bras de levier (29) de la genouillère (20) peut pivoter au moyen d'une broche d'entraînement (25) ou similaire de la barre de dossier (6) et/ou du support de siège (33), de telle manière que lorsque la barre de dossier (6) est inclinée vers l'arrière et/ou que le support de siège est abaissé, un bras de levier (28) de la genouillère (20) règle la rallonge (17) et par conséquent le dossier (35) en direction du support (2) ou du support de siège (33).
