[origin: WO9003260A1] A liner (10) for a pipe (14) includes an imperforate inner tube (12), a first fiber matrix (16) surrounding the tube, a layer of resin impregnated open cell foam (18) surrounding the first fiber matrix (16), and a second fiber matrix (20) surrounding the layer of open cell foam (18). The foam (18) is radially compressed by a pig (30) causing the resin to flow through the first and second fiber matrices (16 and 20) into bonding contact with the tube (12) and pipe (14), respectively.

Un manchon de protection (10) d'une conduite (14) comprend un tube interne non perforé (12), une première matrice fibreuse (16) qui entoure le tube, une couche en éponge (18) à alvéoles ouvertes impregnée de résine qui entoure la première matrice fibreuse (16), et une deuxième matrice fibreuse (20) qui entoure la couche formée par l'éponge à alvéoles ouvertes (18). L'éponge (18) est radialement comprimée par un furet (30), ce qui amène la résine à s'écouler à travers les première et deuxième matrices fibreuses (16 et 20) et à établir une liaison par contact avec le tube (12) et la conduite (14), respectivement.
