Floors for fluidized bed furnaces, which floors are made of porous ceramic blocks permeable to gas, have only a very short service life in the face of the greatly varying temperatures of the gases flowing through them. In order to increase the service life considerably, narrow, closed gas chambers are provided which are supported by the furnace structure, extend transversely to the longitudinal axis of the furnace and are provided with a connection for supplying gases. The top side of the gas chambers has recesses at a regular spacing and is also covered by porous ceramic blocks encased in metal and placed in each case onto a recess, in which ceramic blocks the bases of the casings each have an opening corresponding to and communicating with the recesses, and in which ceramic blocks the casing is closed on a slipped-over cover frame surrounding the casing with folded edge strips and having at least one opening. <IMAGE>

Aus porösen, gasdurchlässigen Keramiksteinen (5) bestehende Böden für Wirbelschichtöfen weisen bei stark variierenden Temperaturen der sie durchströmenden Gase nur kurze Standzeiten auf. Um die Standzeiten erheblich zu erhöhen werden von der Ofenkonstruktion getragene schmale, sich quer zur Längsachse des Ofens erstreckende geschlossene, mit einem Anschluß zur Zuführung von Gasen vorgesehene Gaskammern vorgesehen, deren Oberseite in regelmäßiger Teilung Ausnehmungen (3) aufweist, sowie durch jeweils auf eine Ausnehmung gestellte, metallummantelte poröse Keramiksteine (5), bei denen die Böden der Mäntel (4) je eine den Ausnehmungen (3) entsprechende und mit diesem kommunizierende Öffnung (6) aufweisen, und bei denen der Mantel (4) auf einen übergestülpten, den Mantel (4) mit abgekanteten Randstreifen umgebenden und mindestens eine Öffnung (9) aufweisenden Deckrahmen (8) geschlossen ist.
