[origin: EP0394720A1] In the pump described here the expansion chamber is hermetically sealed off from the drive unit. In the expansion chamber itself there are no oil-lubricated or grease-lubricated parts, so that the pump may be described as entirely dry. The sealing is achieved by means of a torsional hollow body 5, which is located between a shaft 1 and a pot 6. The shaft 1 performs an oscillating rotary movement which is transmitted to the pot 6. On the latter are segmental pistons 8a and 8b, which oscillate between fixed parts 10a and 10b and so create the pumping effect. <IMAGE>
