[origin: EP0394723A1] A transfer device in a press (1) with a ram (2) which can be moved up and down, for forming sheet-metal parts (3) by means of tools (4), has running rails (7, 7') and travelling carriages (8, 9) which can be moved on the latter. The travelling carriages (8, 9) carry suction spiders (12). The movement of the travelling carriages (8, 9) in the horizontal direction is picked off from cam plates (41, 42) by means of cam-follower levers (36, 37). If the running rails (7, 7') are raised in order to lift the sheet-metal parts (3) out of the bottom part of the tool, the travelling carriages (8, 9) become misaligned. To correct this misalignment, i.e. to produce linear vertical lifting-out movements, corresponding correction regions (45) are provided on the cam plates (41, 42). <IMAGE>
