In an internal combustion engine (1), comprising a housing (2) and a circular disc (12) rotating in this on a shaft (6), the disc having a number of cylindrical holes (13) provided in it for receiving in each case a sliding piston (14) which is carried by rollers (18) on approximately ellipse-shaped guides (19), it is proposed according to the invention that the centre longitudinal axes of the cylindrical holes should enclose an acute angle with the radius of the disc. <IMAGE>

Bei einem Verbrennungsmotor (1), bestehend aus einem Gehäuse (2) und einer sich darin auf einer Welle (6) drehenden Kreisscheibe (12) mit einer Anzahl von darin vorgesehenen Zylinderbohrungen (13) zur Aufnahme je eines Schiebekolbens (14), der von Rollen (18) auf in etwa ellipsenförmigen Führungen (19) geführt ist, ist erfindungsgemäß vorgesehen, daß die Mittellängsachsen der Zylinderbohrungen mit dem Radius der Scheibe einen spitzen Winkel einschließen.
