In the comminuting machine, a movable cutter (9) is movable by means of a lifting and lowering device (10) at least approximately parallel to a stationary cutter (11) and is subjected to a force directed oppositely to the cutting pressure. Only one drive is required for the cutter (9), as a result of which the machine is constructed in a structurally simple and inexpensive manner. As a result of the cutters (9 and 11) being movable at low speed parallel to one another, the noise and dust emission is extremely small. The cutting pressure necessary for the cutting operation is applied by the lifting and lowering device (10). Since the material is detached in one shearing operation, the power consumption can be kept low. <IMAGE>

Bei der Zerkleinerungsmaschine in ein bewegliches Messer (9) mit einer Hub- und Senkvorrichtung (10) mindestens annähernd parallel zu einem feststehenden Messer (11) bewegbar und mit einer dem Schneiddruck entgegengerichteten Kraft beaufschlagt. Für das Messer (9) ist nur ein Antrieb erforderlich, wodurch die Maschine konstruktiv einfach und kostengünstig ausgebildet ist. Durch die mit geringer Geschwindigkeit parallel zueinander bewegbaren Messer (9 und 11) ist die Lärm- und Staubemission äußerst gering. Der für den Schneidvorgang notwendige Schneiddruck wird von der Hub- und Senkvorrichtung (10) aufgebracht. Da das Material in einem Schervorgang abgetrennt wird, kann der Kraftbedarf klein gehalten werden.
