[origin: EP0394952A2] The invention relates to a device (1) for covering the ends of one or more slide fasteners, in particular of gas- and fluid-tight slide fasteners, the ends of the slide fasteners extending in straight lines and/or at various angles towards one another. The essential factor of the invention lies in the fact that it consists of a bottom plate (4) and a top plate (5), between which the backing tapes or regions of the backing tapes (6, 6') and the slide fastener chain(s) (7) are inserted, a seal (8), which is arranged between the bottom plate and the backing tapes, and a detachable connecting element (9) which tensions the bottom plate and the top plate together, all the parts of the covering device (1) being easily and completely removable (demountable). <IMAGE>
