[origin: EP0395047A2] The invention relates to a method and a device for transferring successively supplied sheets (1) for collecting and bundling and for passing the bundled sheets (1) to an output unit. The individual sheets (1) are drawn successively into an intermediate store (11) and there placed one on top of the other. The bundle is then pushed out counter to the draw-in direction, via a deflector arrangement (19), into a guide channel (17) branching from the intermediate store (11), from which channel said bundle can be removed. The intermediate store (11) is preferably formed by a rotating gripping roller (4) which is enclosed on at least a part of its circumference by guiding surfaces (8, 9, 10); the sheets are received between the peripheral surface of the gripping roller (4) and the guiding surfaces (8, 9, 10). The gripping roller (4) is provided on its peripheral surface with a gripper arrangement (3) which grasps the sheets (1) and draws them into the intermediate store (11) in one direction of rotation of the gripping roller (4), and, in the opposite direction of rotation, pushes them out of the intermediate store (11). The invention is used, for example, in the dispensing of bank receipts. <IMAGE>
