[origin: EP0395503A1] A device for checking the closing of a motor-vehicle flap, for example the rear boot lid, comprising a switch which controls a checking indicator (8) and two elements of which can be put into electrical contact with one another and which is actuated by the lock of the flap, this lock comprising a bolt (2) mounted on the flap or the body of the vehicle and a keeper element (4) which is mounted on the body or the flap and part of which penetrates into an indentation (2a) of the bolt (2) when the flap is closed.
