The invention concerns a control device for an apparatus of the ventilation hood type, or an equivalent, combined with a cooking apparatus, for example an oven, a cooking surface or a cooking ring. Each control member (CM) of the cooking apparatus is equipped with a means of coupling (FL) placed in series in the supply circuit to the fan motor (FV) by virtue of a means of linking (FL), each of the said means of coupling being provided in order to control the hood through the cooking apparatus.
