[origin: WO8912754A1] A built-in fan, in particular for sound-absorbing hoods, has an outer plate (1) with an outlet opening (14) and an inner plate (16) with a housing part (17), comprising an inlet opening (18), for receiving a fan motor and a fan wheel driven by the latter and including fan blades (28). The inner plate (16) and outer plate (1) are linked by means of fastening screws and a metallic plate (3) with through-holes (4) for the fastening screws is inserted between outer plate (1) and inner plate (16). The fan motor is fastened on the metallic plate (3). The motor is thereby securedly fastened, resulting in very quiet operation of the fan at high capacity.
