Abstract (en)
A ferrohydrostatic separator comprises a magnetic system (1) with two poles (N-S) whose profiles shape the magnetic field in the pole gap (2), a container (3) with a ferromagnetic liquid (4), located in the pole (2) and secured on the poles (N-S). The separator is provided with a device (5) for feeding the mechanical mixture, which is located above the surface of the ferromagnetic liquid (4) and connected at least to one of the poles (S), and with a device (11) for removing the separated particles of the mechanical mixture, connected to the container (3). The device (5) is located along the longitudinal axis of the pole gap (2) and is designed so as to form on the surface of the ferromagnetic liquid (4) a mechanical mixture feeding zone (6), oriented across the magnetic lines and extending along the pole (S).

Un séparateur ferrohydrostatique comprend un système magnétique (1) à deux pôles (N-S) dont les profils façonnent le champ magnétique dans l'espace interpolaire (2), un récipient (3) contenant un liquide ferromagnétique (4), situé dans ledit espace interpolaire (2) et fixé sur les pôles (N-S). Ledit séparateur comporte un dispositif (5) destiné à amener le mélange mécanique, lequel est situé au-dessus de la surface du liquide ferromagnétique (4) et relié au moins à un des pôles (S), et un dispositif (11) destiné à éliminer les particules séparées du mélange mécanique, relié au récipient (3). Le dispositif (5) est situé le long de l'axe longitudinal de l'espace interpolaire (2) et est conçu de manière à former sur la surface du liquide ferromagnétique (4), une zone d'alimentation en mélange mécanique (6), orientée en travers des lignes magnétiques et s'étendant le long du pôle (S).
