Abstract (en)
An electrical switch mat having at least two electrically conductive plates, which are arranged at a distance from one another in the quiescent state, the distance being produced by elastically compressible, non-conductive spacers. Between the plates there are provided contact makers which produce an electrical connection between the plates once the elastically compressible spacers have been pressed together by a predetermined value. An electrical evaluation unit is connected to the plates. The plates of the switch mat are produced from rubber, the electrical conductivity being produced by the addition of conductive materials such as soot, graphite, metal powder and the like. The contact makers and the spacers can be produced integrally with the plates, likewise from rubber. <IMAGE>

Elektrische Kontaktmatte mit zumindest zwei im Ruhezustand mit Abstand zueinander angeordneten elektrisch leitenden Platten, wobei der Abstand durch elastisch kompressible, nicht leitende Distanzhalter hergestellt ist. Zwischen den Platten sind Kontaktgeber vorgesehen, die nach Zusammendrücken der elastisch kompressiblen Distanzhalter um einen vorgegebenen Wert eine elektrische Verbindung zwischen den Platten herstellen. An den Platten ist eine elektrische Auswerteeinheit angeschlossen. Die Platten der Kontaktmatte sind aus Gummi hergestellt, wobei die elektrische Leitfähigkeit durch Beimischung von leitenden Stoffen, wie Ruß, Graphit, Metallpulver und dergl. erzeugt wird. Die Kontaktgeber und Distanzhalter können einstückig mit den Platten, ebenfalls aus Gummi hergestellt, sein.
