[origin: EP0395867A2] The invention relates to a holding strip for exchangeable, scannable information carriers. It has a fastening part for fixing on edge areas of shelves, containers and the like. On the fastening part there is a receiving pocket for the information carriers, which comprises a rear wall and a transparent front wall. The rear wall and the front wall are connected to each other at the base and the upper edge of the rear wall extends in a covering manner over the free edge of the front wall. The invention consists in that the transparent front wall is crystal clear in the core area, while at least on one side it has an approximately uniform, unoriented roughness on its surface.
