In the machine tool for machining the ends of wooden window frame elements (R), downstream of a first work unit (1) for machining the one ends of the wooden frame elements, having a first work table (3) which is capable of moving, from its starting position (A) transversely to the longitudinal direction of the wooden frame elements (R), past a dimensioning saw (6) and at least one gang milling cutter (7) and has a clamping device (4), is arranged a second work unit (2), of the same kind as the first, for machining the other ends of the wooden frame elements. The two work units (1, 2) are arranged relative to one another such that their two work tables (3, 3') in their starting positions (A) are mutually aligned in their longitudinal directions. Furthermore, a supply conveyor (10) aligned with the first work table (3) situated in the starting position and a discharge conveyor (11) aligned with the second work table (3') situated in the starting position are provided. When the work tables (3, 3') are situated in their starting positions (A), wooden frame elements (R) can be simultaneously moved from supply conveyor (10) to the first work table (3), from the latter to the second work table (3') and from the latter to the discharge conveyor (11), thereby shortening the cycle time.

Bei der Endenprofiliermaschine für Rahmenhölzer (R) für Fensterrahmen ist einer ersten Arbeitseinheit (1) zum Profilieren der einen Rahmenholzenden, die einen ersten, aus seiner Ausgangsstellung (A) quer zur Längsrichtung der Rahmenhölzer (R) an einer Ablängsäge (6) und wenigstens einem Fräsersatz (7) vorbeibewegbaren Arbeitstisch (3) mit einer Aufspannvorrichtung (4) aufweist, eine gleichartige, zweite Arbeitseinheit (2) zum Profilieren der anderen Rahmenholzenden nachgeschaltet. Die beiden Arbeitseinheiten (1, 2) sind so zueinander angeordnet, daß ihre beiden Arbeitstische (3, 3') in ihren Ausgangsstellungen (A) in ihren Längsrichtungen miteinander fluchten. Ferner ist ein mit dem in Ausgangsstellung befindlichen ersten Arbeitstisch (3) fluchtender Zuförderer (10) und ein mit dem in Ausgangsstellung befindlichen zweiten Arbeitstisch (3') fluchtender Wegförderer (11) vorgesehen. Wenn sich die Arbeitstische (3, 3') in ihren Ausgangsstellungen (A) befinden, können gleichzeitig Rahmenhölzer (R) von Zuförderer (10) auf den ersten Arbeitstisch (3), von diesem auf den zweiten Arbeitstisch (3') und von diesem auf den Wegförderer (11) bewegt werden, wodurch die Taktzeit verkürzt wird.
