[origin: EP0395943A2] The invention relates to a manually operated protective circuit breaker having connecting terminals and a visible isolating path which can be produced only when the protective circuit breaker is opened. The isolating part in this case consists of an isolator module, which can be placed on the connecting terminals of the protective circuit breaker and in which there is a removable isolating block. The isolating block can be removed only when the protective circuit breaker is opened. In consequence, it is possible to fit the protective circuit breaker with a visible isolating path only in cases of necessity. <IMAGE>
