Abstract (en)

[origin: EP0395959A2] In order to adjust the ink metering device of a printing press to a zero ink application position at any time, the control (6, 7, 8) of the ink metering device is extended by a control device (9) and the position indicators (5) of the ink metering elements (1) are constructed as sensors (13). The control device (9) switches on the adjusting drives (2) of the ink metering elements (1) in the direction of the inking roller (3), determines whether the measurement signals of the position indicators (5) change with time and switches off those adjusting drives (2) of the ink metering elements (1) whose positions no longer change with time since the ink metering elements (1) are resting on the inking roller (3). These zero positions of the individual ink metering elements (1) can be stored in the control (6, 7, 8) for the further adjusting operations. <IMAGE>
