Abstract (en)
In known grate furnaces, the air slots between the individual grate bars are aligned perpendicularly to the grate surface. The primary air flowing through thus forms jets directed perpendicularly upwards. A new grate bar (4) has been developed, in which the cross-section of the grate bar head (6) has a shape similar to a rhomboid. In a furnace grate, which is equipped with grate bars (4) of this type, the primary air jets emerge at an angle. Surprisingly, it has been found that the utilisation of the primary air is consequently significantly improved. The grate bar (4) is particularly suitable for use in roller grate furnaces of waste incineration installations. <IMAGE>
Abstract (de)
Bei bekannten Rostfeuerungen sind die Luftschlitze zwischen den einzelnen Roststäben senkrecht zur Rostfläche ausgerichtet. Die durchströmende Primärluft bildet daher senkrecht nach oben gerichtete Strahlen. Es wurde ein neuer Roststab (4) entwickelt, bei dem der Querschnitt des Roststabkopfes (6) eine rhomboidähnliche Form hat. Bei einem Feuerungsrost, der mit derartigen Roststäben (4) ausgerüstet ist, treten die Primärluftstrahlen schräg aus. Überraschenderweise hat sich gezeigt, daß dadurch die Ausnutzung der Primärluft merklich verbessert wird. Der Roststab (4) eignet sich insbesondere zum Einsatz in Walzenrostfeuerungen von Müllverbrennungsanlagen.
