In household appliances, such as laundry-treatment and dish-washing machines, with a programme input device, in which a selectable main programme can be set by means of a rotary selector switch and further additional functions by means of pushbutton switches, and with a microcomputer control, by means of which the programme execution of the machine is controlled, the user is to be offered a simple method and arrangement for programme input and programme control. For this, the pushbutton switches (4) are designed as non-locking switches, the input commands of which are stored in a non-volatile memory, so that, in the event of a restart, the programme already individually selected is executed automatically. <IMAGE>

Bei Haushaltsgeräten, wie Wäschebehandlungs- und Geschirrspülmaschinen, mit einer Programmeingabevorrichtung, bei der ein anwählbares Hauptprogramm mittels Drehwahlschalter (3) und weitere Zusatzfunktionen mittels Drucktastenschalter (4) einstellbar sind, und mit einer Mikrocomputersteuerung (7), durch die der Programmablauf der Maschine gesteuert wird, soll dem Benutzer ein einfaches Verfahren und eine Anordnung für die Programmeingabe und Programmsteuerung angeboten werden. Dazu sind die Drucktastenschalter (4) als nichtrastende Schalter ausgebildet, deren Eingabebefehle in einem nichtflüchtigen Speicher (8) gespeichert werden, so daß bei einem Neustart automatisch das bereits individuell ausgewählte Programm abläuft.
