Abstract (en)
The invention relates to X-ray tubes which are arranged inside a sealed cladding (25) filled with a cooling fluid. <??>According to the invention the safety device consists of a thermostat and/or pressure regulator 42 which is connected in series in the power circuit for the filament of the cathode 14. In the case of a cathode with two filaments 39 and 40, the thermostat and/or pressure regulator is connected to the common conductor 37. Thus, should a temperature or pressure threshold be exceeded, power to the filament is cut, and this halts the X-radiation. <??>The invention is applicable to radiology instruments. <IMAGE>
