[origin: EP0398303A2] The invention relates to a self-locking clamping device (8) for a shoelace (9) with a lace holder (11) which is provided in one end region with a fastening flap (16) and a support body (12) which has a cutout (26) for the shoelace (9). Arranged in the cutout (26) is a clamping member (14). This is adjustable in a longitudinal guide (13) arranged in the support body (12) from a clamping position closely adjacent to a side wall (25) of the cutout (26) and/or a stop (24) into an open position at a distance therefrom. The shoelace (9) is guided through between the clamping member (14) and the side wall (25) or the stop (24) and winds round the member on the side facing away from the side wall (25) or the stop (24). <IMAGE>
