[origin: EP0399134A2] A burner automat is disclosed, the faulty position of which, caused for example by the failure of the flame after setting in operation, can be cleared on the one hand by a reset button (10) arranged on the burner automat and on the other hand in a remote-operated manner by means of a reset pulse generator (13). By means of a pulse, which is triggered by a momentary-contact switch (19) and acts on the flame relay (1), the flame relay (1) is briefly excited, the fault contact (7) being returned from its faulty position to the normal position by an actuation segment (11) coupled to a slide (2) for actuation of a contact set (3). Such a burner automat can advantageously be used in compact heating devices, in which the reset button (10) is not easily accessible. <IMAGE>
