[origin: EP0399419A2] The electrical snap-action switch, particularly a microswitch, has a switching rocker arm 20, loaded by a spring 30, with which the switching positions can be achieved. In order to increase the switching positions, the switching rocker arm 20 has two pivoting shafts 26, 27, arranged at a distance from one another, on its one end. In this case, in the one pivoting direction the switching rocker arm 20 is movable about the one pivoting shaft 26 while, in the other switching direction, the switching rocker arm 20 is movable about the other pivoting shaft 27. According to the invention, the switching spring is located in terms of its region between two projections 56 of the operating element 34, during its movement, the switching spring and hence the switching rocker arm being moved out of their centre position. The switching rocker arm is reset automatically when the operating element is released, by means of the tensioned switching spring. <IMAGE>
